Job summary

Security State Bank & Trust (SSB&T) is seeking a Loan Officer to develop and manage customer lending relationships while originating, structuring, and maintaining quality loan portfolios. You will work with consumers, business owners, borrowers, and internal partners to deliver lending solutions aligned with the Bank's growth objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (preferred)
• 2–3 years of experience
• Familiarity with applicable banking regulations
• Proficiency with standard office software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment screening (drug testing, fingerprinting)

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and expand lending relationships across consumer, commercial, agricultural, mortgage, and real estate segments.
• Meet with prospective and existing customers to discuss financing needs and recommend lending solutions.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and other documentation for underwriting.
• Coordinate with Credit Administration, Underwriting, and Loan Operations throughout approvals and closings.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
