Job summary

Jenner & Block LLP in Washington, DC is seeking a Legal Project Management Specialist to join a firmwide initiative focused on optimizing matter management and profitability. You will work with lawyers to develop risk assessment tools, create processes, and mine information for knowledge management.

Reporting to the Pricing & LPM Manager, you will help track matters from inception to close, support pricing decisions, and coordinate with client teams on scope, budgets, and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field or business experience.
• 4+ years of project management experience in a law firm or professional services.
• Strong analytical and budgeting skills with knowledge of finance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Advising attorneys on strategies to maximize profitability through matter performance.
• Analyze budgets, build a budgets database, and inform pricing proposals.
• Design budgeting templates and monitor engagements throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Define matter scope and track changes with client teams.
• Document procedures, assumptions, and data sources used in analysis.
• Quantify risks and outline mitigation strategies.
• Ensure quality and contribute to process improvements.
• Communicate analysis and financial metrics clearly to lawyers.
• Support pricing decisions with scenario modeling and data-driven insights.
• Coordinate responses to RFPs with business development and meet deadlines.
