Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Nashville is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to drive process improvements, analytics, and operations of the Legal Department. You will partner with the VP-Legal to execute the legal strategic roadmap and coordinate with business, IT and operational leaders.

The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, experience leading efficiency projects, and managing outside counsel.

Qualifications

• Significant operational experience preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize strategic business opportunities from changes in the economic, technological, political/legal, or social environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across all levels of a global, multi-functional team.
• High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to act as leader and change agent.
• Proactive approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues and developing solutions.
• Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Serve as partner to the Vice President to develop and execute operational strategies.
• Lead efficiency projects (people/process/technology) to reduce cost and time.
• Create and implement programs and processes for sustainability and scalability.
• Ensure smooth flow of business processes and provide resources as needed.
• Engage in retention, management and evaluation of outside counsel.
• Coordinate department meetings and legal retreats, including scheduling and materials.
