Job summary

Axos Bank is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to support the VP and Director of Legal Operations, handling subpoenas, levies, bankruptcy matters, and related tasks. The role requires collaboration with Finance, Commercial Banking, and Deposit Operations to optimize legal processes.

The ideal candidate has a paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree, 1+ year of experience, strong organizational and writing skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program.
• 1+ year of experience as a legal operations specialist or paralegal supporting in-house legal teams and/or lawyers within a law firm.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize tasks while managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly detail-oriented with a proactive approach to anticipating needs, identifying issues, and implementing effective solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, and writing skills.
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and other applications, such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, Jack Henry, Legal Tracker and PACER experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Efficiently collaborate with Legal and cross-functional business units to optimize legal processes and operations.
• Assist with responding to inquiries from stakeholders across the organization.
• Review and process legal documents such as levies, bankruptcy, subpoenas, and various court orders.
• Correspond with government agencies and outside counsel regarding requests for legal actions and documents.
• Conduct research and provide background information under the direction of an attorney.
