Job summary

Axiom is seeking a Legal Billing Operations Analyst to coordinate the outside counsel lifecycle, ensuring accurate billing, onboarding, and rate management across Legal, Finance, and Procurement.

This on-site role in California supports a large technology client, with responsibilities spanning engagement letters, timekeeper workflows, and third-party engagements, while driving process improvements and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in legal operations, legal billing, vendor management, or related function.
• Experience in large corporate legal departments, law firms, or professional services.
• Strong organizational and workflow-management skills with deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage outside counsel onboarding from intake to completion with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate engagement terms, information security assessments, and rate approvals.
• Review engagement letters for policy alignment and escalate questions as needed.
• Oversee timekeeper and rate workflows, approvals, and billing records accuracy.
• Coordinate Third-Party Associate engagements and monitor completion.
• Maintain accurate records across systems and trackers (Global Legal Roster).
• Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements across workflows.
