Job summary

University of California, Office of the President, in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Financial Services Analyst 3 to oversee the lifecycle of outside counsel eBilling and manage related vendor interactions. This role supports UC Legal and finance teams, driving cost control and process improvements.

Reporting to the Legal Operations Supervisor, you will analyze billing data, ensure compliance with guidelines, and coordinate with AP and BRC. Bachelors required; 5+ years in finance/e-billing preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and/or e-billing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Ability to learn new systems, workflows, and business requirements.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of billing practices and eBilling software; familiarity with LEDES format.
• Experience with data analytics and reporting.
• In-house legal or law firm experience preferred.
• Experience developing training materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of outside counsel eBilling and ensure billing guidelines compliance.
• Coordinate recharge processes with UCOP’s BRC and UC’s Accounts Payable group.
• Serve as primary contact for law firms, clients and in-house team; provide strategic direction for eBilling.
• Train end users and support continuous improvement in billing processes.
