Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Sales Professional to lead North America sales for our leak detection products, utilizing Quantum Cascade Laser Analyzers. This is a field-based role across the United States with flexibility on location, near a major airport.

You will develop market growth strategies, cultivate customer relationships, identify opportunities, and collaborate across a matrix organization to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field
• Four years of industry experience; two in sales or marketing
• 40%+ travel
• Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities for leak detection solutions within assigned markets and territories, working independently and with account managers to drive sustainable growth.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for leak detection technologies, leading technical discussions, customer presentations, and solution reviews while building relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Conduct product demonstrations, customer evaluations, and validation activities to showcase solution value, support product qualification, and accelerate customer adoption.
• Own and manage sales opportunities throughout the entire lifecycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and successful order acquisition.
• Partner with account managers to develop strategic account plans, identify high-value growth opportunities, and enable the expansion and repeat sale of products and solutions within key accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions, strengthen value propositions, and support business development initiatives.
• Gather customer feedback and analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities, inform product development, and enhance Emerson's market position.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, customer activity records, and project updates within CRM and business management systems to support effective planning and business performance.
