Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in logistics or general business management.
• 5-7 years in logistics and supply chain with people management.
• Experience with transportation management, linehaul, and backhaul in over-the-road environments.
• AS/400, PC, Word and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective contract review and negotiation skills.
• Time management and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Flexible work schedule at peak.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes fulfillment and logistics data to identify process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Establishes and strengthens relationships with strategic partners within the supply chain, including transportation providers and cold/dry ice vendors.
• Drives research and development within the logistics team to improve efficiency.
• Leads peak planning for distribution centers and aligns fulfillment and logistics operations.
• Develops and implements supply chain strategies across procurement, planning, warehousing, transportation and distribution.
• Monitors performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive cost/quality/service gains.
• Oversees procurement processes, supplier selection, negotiation and contract management.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Implements best practices in logistics and distribution for cost-effective transport.
• Keeps up-to-date with market trends to drive innovation in supply chain.
