Responsibilities

  • Analyzes fulfillment and logistics data to identify process improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Establishes and strengthens relationships with strategic partners within the supply chain, including transportation providers and cold/dry ice vendors.
  • Drives research and development within the logistics team to improve efficiency.
  • Leads peak planning for distribution centers and aligns fulfillment and logistics operations.
  • Develops and implements supply chain strategies across procurement, planning, warehousing, transportation and distribution.
  • Monitors performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive cost/quality/service gains.
  • Oversees procurement processes, supplier selection, negotiation and contract management.

The Director of Logistics is responsible for leading and managing the company’s supply chain operations, including procurement and logistics. Will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

You must be a strategic thinker with a strong bias for action, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and operate with a high degree of accountability and ownership.

You must provide strategic, principled leadership that aligns with the organization’s vision and goals while ensuring strong financial oversight and accountability. Drive organization-wide execution of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clear direction, accountability, and measurable outcomes. Actively shape and influence the Horizontal Directors Leadership Team through collaborative decision-making and thought leadership. Lead transformational change with clarity and resilience, engaging teams at all levels. Foster a high-performance culture focused on excellence, innovation, and the development of future leaders.

Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Analyzes fulfillment and logistics data (ship mode, service, shipping error, spoilage, and freight cost). Identifies process improvements and cost efficiencies for Fulfillment and Logistics in support of budgetary planning and ops execution.
  • Establishes and strengthens relationships with strategic partners within the supply chain/cold chain. This includes transportation providers, coolers, and dry ice vendors.
  • Drives research and development within the logistics team. Seeks out opportunities to drive innovation and efficiency within the logistics operation.
  • Leads peak planning for both DCs, aligning fulfillment and logistics operations
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize overall supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
