Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an Executive Director of Gas Development to lead the full project lifecycle from planning and permitting through construction and operational readiness. This role reports to the VP of Gas Development and requires extensive energy industry experience and strategic decision-making across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in power development or related energy sectors.
• 6+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• High School Grad/GED and a Bachelor's or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Translates financial, commercial, risk management, technical and operating goals into contracting strategies and objectives.
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Directs cross-functional teams through solicitation and negotiation processes.
• Provides leadership and drives key decisions during negotiations.
• Oversees development of contracts to position project execution teams for success.
• Presents to influence senior management decision making.
• Develops, coaches and mentors team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
