Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Director of Gas Development to lead and coordinate gas power generation development and negotiations. You will build strategic partnerships, manage major contracts, and drive project execution with senior leadership.

The role reports to an Executive Director and requires strong experience in contracting, risk management, and cross-functional leadership across large-scale energy projects.

Qualifications

• High School Grad/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of Experience in related field.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Business Administration.
• Preferred: Master's in Business Administration.

Position Specific Description

This role reports to an Executive Director and leads and coordinates gas power generation development and negotiations. This individual is crucial for developing project agreements and managing all aspects of business deals and multiple project developments. Key to building strategic partnerships and handling major contracts.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Translates company financial, commercial, risk management, technical and operating goals into effective contracting strategies and objectives
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners
• Assembles and leads internal cross functional, multi-disciplined teams through the solicitation and negotiation processes
• Provides overall leadership and drive key decisions during negotiations
• Delivers on contracting objectives and proforma requirements
• Delivers contracts that position the internal project execution team for maximum success
• Manages the contracting budget and schedule for assigned projects
• Provides periodic updates to and interact with senior management
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
