Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Gas Development to lead all aspects of gas project development including land acquisition, permitting, environmental compliance, and community relations. You will collaborate with stakeholders, government agencies, and environmental groups to move projects from inception to construction.

Development experience is required. Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of project development experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of the day-to-day transaction process to ensure timely completion and cost-effective results.
• Leads and coordinates financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations.
• Responsible for managing multiple and complex projects.
• Coordinates due diligence activities with internal groups for proper analysis and structuring of projects.
• Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection.
• Constructs contractual arrangements for project development.
• Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
• Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties, and community members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
