Job summary

The University of New Hampshire seeks an executive leader for Facilities & Operations to direct the campus’ building operations, maintenance, grounds, and event support. This position oversees the FCC and IWMS, manages a multi-faceted budget, and aligns facility services with the university’s living, learning and research mission.

Responsibilities include 24/7 customer response, contract negotiations, fleet and warehouse management, and ensuring compliance with codes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field with 7 years experience; or Master’s degree with 5 years experience.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in facility operations and maintenance for an institutional owner.
Experience administering contracts for facility renovation, alteration and construction or Life Safety contracting.
Registration as a professional engineer or architect is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee efficient and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the university’s physical plant.
Manage Facilities Control Center (FCC) and IWMS for work reception and task assignment.
Direct and manage service contracts for housekeeping, O&M, fire alarms, generators, and pest control.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for campus facilities operations.
