Job summary

North Carolina Central University (NCCU) is seeking a Director of Facilities Operations to provide strategic leadership for the university's physical assets and infrastructure. This role oversees building systems, housekeeping, grounds maintenance, recycling, and the university’s motor fleet, aligning facilities with NCCU’s mission and student success.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years of general facilities management and operations experience with supervisory experience.
• All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
• Licensed as a NC Professional Engineer desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities management operations to ensure safety, functionality, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Lead maintenance, repair, and operations of campus buildings, grounds, and utility systems.
• Manage budgets, personnel, and resources; supervise supervisors and trades staff.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and promote a culture of safety.
