Job summary

The University of New Hampshire in Durham seeks an executive facilities leader responsible for operations and maintenance of a 5.5 million square foot portfolio and a 555 acre core campus, spanning complex research facilities to farm buildings.

You will provide technical direction, oversee IWMS, contract management, fleet and grounds, 24/7 customer response, and a $22 million annual budget, leading ~140 staff toward reliable, safe, cost-effective campus service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field with 7 years experience or Master’s with 5 years experience
• Minimum five years supervisory experience
• Experience in facility operations and maintenance for an institutional owner
• Experience administering contracts for facility renovation/alteration/construction or Life Safety contracting
• Knowledge of building systems design, operation, and maintenance
• Registration as a professional engineer or architect

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for facility services campus-wide
• Oversee Facilities Control Center and IWMS
• Direct operations & maintenance, grounds, and fleet management
• Manage service contracts, procurement, and budget
• Ensure 24/7 customer response and campus emergency readiness
• Lead a ~140-person workforce and oversee a $22M annual budget
