Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Greenwood, SC, seeks an experienced Associate Director, Supply Chain Warehousing & Distribution to lead and optimize the Americas distribution network from the Greenwood site.

You will shape regional logistics strategy, manage a $30M budget, and guide a team of about 15 professionals across transportation, warehousing, and compliance. You'll partner with Commercial, Customer Service, Planning, Manufacturing and Quality teams to deliver exceptional service, OTIF, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Distribution, Production Operations, or related field.
• 7 to 10 years of experience within a manufacturing environment with significant exposure to distribution, inventory management, materials management, production operations and supply chain processes.
• Minimum 4 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience operating within ERP and computer-assisted business systems.
• Strong organizational, planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex logistics and distribution networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Americas distribution and logistics strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Oversee transportation, warehousing, inventory management, customs compliance, and distribution activities across the Americas.
• Lead network design initiatives including warehouse footprint, inventory positioning, transportation modes, and distribution channel optimization.
• Deliver annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for logistics.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and applicable trade requirements, FDA, GMP, and other distribution regulations.
• Lead a high-performing team of approximately 15 logistics professionals and foster safety and continuous improvement.
