Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
• 6 years of experience in event planning.
• Experience working with complex budgets and tracking expenditures.
• Additional years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide high skilled coordination and professional administrative skills for high level events and project management.
• Plan, logistics and ongoing management of programs and events for four UT Southwestern schools.
• Manage commencements and white coat ceremonies including student/guest management and volunteers.
• Develop and manage the communication plan for commencement and other events.
• Liaise with the President's Office, Provost Office, Communications, deans, and committees on student events.
• Coordinate with internal and external service providers to secure best value and service.
• Participate in planning committees for orientations, United to Serve, Second Look Weekend, and other student activities.
• Support and back-up the Director of Student Life.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
