Job summary

Howard Community College is seeking a Skilled Trades Program Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight for non-credit programs, apprenticeship pathways, and workforce training. You will supervise adjunct faculty, expand enrollment, and align programs with MD and USDOL standards.

The role requires flexible scheduling, cross‑division collaboration, and strong financial, data, and stakeholder management to build partnerships with industry and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of three years of experience in higher education or skilled trades industry.
• Experience with non-credit workforce training or apprenticeship programs preferred.
• Knowledge of MD and USDOL apprenticeship standards.
• Budget management, data analysis and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and continuous improvement of non-credit skilled trades courses and apprenticeship programs.
• Ensure compliance with credentialing, regulatory and apprenticeship requirements.
• Oversee adjunct faculty and program staff; manage scheduling and facilities.
• Develop partnerships with industry, employers and community organizations.
