Job summary

Helms College is seeking a Senior Director, School of Trades to provide strategic and operational leadership for all skilled trades programs across Augusta and Macon. You will align offerings with regional workforce needs, manage faculty and programs, and ensure compliance with credentialing and funding requirements.

You will collaborate with industry partners, lead program development, and work with Admissions, Marketing, and Career Services to drive enrollment and job placement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must meet Helms College faculty qualification requirements for at least one course within an assigned skilled trades program.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible industry, technical education, workforce training, or related skilled trades experience.
• Minimum of three years of demonstrated supervisory, academic leadership, or program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all Helms College skilled trades programs across Augusta and Macon.
• Align School of Trades offerings with regional workforce needs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee scheduling, faculty assignments, and instructional quality across campuses.
• Develop and launch new skilled trades programs, credentials, and delivery models.
• Partner with employers, trade associations, and community organizations to meet workforce needs.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing, and Career Services to promote program offerings and student outcomes.
