Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher education in engineering, safety, transportation or related fields.
• 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to grade 14 in DC government service or equivalent.
• Knowledge of transportation standards and professional/technical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for planning, operation, and maintenance of pavement and right-of-way assets.
• Oversee statewide program maintenance, contracting, and field operations for streets, sidewalks, tunnels, and markings.
• Apply MUTCD and other standards to guidance on transportation asset management and policy interpretation.
• Direct program planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for PMD.
• Ensure compliance with agency mandates and coordinate with internal/external partners.
