Merck is seeking an Associate Director, Patient Support Program Strategy to define the strategy, governance, and delivery of a comprehensive PSP for an individualized therapy in the U.S. Oncology portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech with patient services, access, affordability, or hub strategy.
• Experience designing and optimizing patient support programs and hub services.
• Understanding of payer dynamics, benefits verification, prior authorization, and patient enrollment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the PSP strategy, service model, and capabilities including benefits investigation, case management, and affordability services.
• Design enrollment and multi-consent processes for patient services programs and data collection.
• Define hub governance, workflows, and escalation pathways for the therapy and patient journey.
• Develop and oversee affordability strategy, copay structures, and financial assistance solutions.
• Partner with vendors to translate strategy into operational execution and patient experience.
• Oversee vendor performance, governance, and continuous improvement plans.
• Establish program metrics and reporting to optimize access and outcomes.
• Collaborate across Market Access, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Tech teams for compliant launch readiness.
