Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director to shape and govern the Patient Support Program for an individualized therapy. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to design enrollment, consent, and data strategies while building scalable hub and affordability solutions.

The position requires 5+ years in pharma/biotech patient services, hub strategy, and reimbursement knowledge, with strong stakeholder management to ensure compliant, patient-centered execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech with experience spanning patient services, patient access, reimbursement support, affordability programs, or hub strategy.
• Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing patient support programs, hub services, affordability solutions, or patient access capabilities.
• Strong understanding of oncology patient journeys, reimbursement pathways, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the PSP strategy, service model, and capabilities.
• Design enrollment and multi-consent processes for patient services and data collection.
• Define hub governance, workflows, and escalation pathways for therapy-specific needs.
• Develop and oversee affordability strategy, copay programs, and financial assistance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to translate strategy into operations and patient experience.
• Establish performance metrics, governance, and continuous improvement for hub and affordability partners.
• Drive analytics to identify barriers and optimize program effectiveness and patient outcomes.
