Job summary

The Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) at the University of Michigan is seeking an Assistant Director, Major Events & Ticketing to lead complex campus productions, oversee ticketing operations, and ensure exceptional service for student organizations, university departments, and external clients.

You will supervise staff and students, manage budgets and contracts, and collaborate with campus partners to advance safety, inclusion, and community building across all venues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in higher education, student affairs, event management, arts administration, business, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive professional experience in major event production, venue and client management, ticketing operations, OR student activities/programming.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, including full-time staff and/or student employees.
• Experience with budget management and financial oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance for Major Events and ticketing to ensure quality service and community-building.
• Oversee major events at campus venues and manage ticket operations.
• Lead staffing, training, and supervision of staff and student workers.
• Develop annual operating plans and budgets; monitor financial performance.
• Coordinate contracts, venue space, and risk management in line with university policies.
• Collaborate with campus partners to enhance events and revenue opportunities.
