Job summary

Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago seeks a Production and Operations Manager to lead event production and operations for CCICS Donn F. Bailey Legacy Hall and other PTS-supported events.

You will oversee live sound, lighting, AV, and staff, coordinating with faculty, staff, renters, and external partners. The role involves staffing, training, and supervising student workers and contractors, ensuring safety, budgeting, and compliance, and supporting commencement and board meetings with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to technical theatre, AV, or events.
• 1 year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the position area.
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing audio, video, lighting, and networking equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, work on ladders up to 24 feet, and mobility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan staffing, operations, and production services for events.
• Supervise student, freelance staff and contractors for events.
• Operate live sound, lighting, projection, recording, livestreaming, and conferencing equipment.
• Schedule staff and manage venue calendars; oversee equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Collaborate with department, clients, and partners; manage safety and budgeting.
