Shield AI seeks a Senior Director of Operations & Sustainment to build and lead the post-development O&S organization, ensuring successful deployment, operation, maintenance, and evolution of Hivemind software, VIDAR hardware, and HMS services for customers worldwide.

You will bridge Product Engineering, Customer Success, and Field Operations to guarantee rapid deployment, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field is required.
15 years of experience leading software operations, sustaining engineering, or product lifecycle organizations.
Experience with government, defense, or mission-critical software systems.
Experience supporting sustainment or ILS organizations for integrated hardware and software products.
Demonstrated success building operational organizations from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Establish the O&S organization, practices, tools, and workflows across deployment, training, knowledge enablement, sustaining engineering, test & evaluation, and customer support.
Lead teams for installation, integration, and operational deployment of HME software within customer environments.
Own strategy and execution for customer education, training curricula, and knowledge management.
Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and operational metrics for sustainment health.
Oversee technical support engineering and define service level objectives for customer responsiveness.
Collaborate with Engineering, PM, Customer Success, and field personnel to evolve sustainment capabilities.
