Job summary

S&P Global Energy, part of S&P Global, seeks an Associate Director within the Metals & Mining group to lead analytics on pricing, supply and demand for critical minerals. You will build asset-based cost models and collaborate with multiple teams to shape roadmaps and client-facing interfaces.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and technical proficiency with tools like Excel, SQL and Python, while advancing product development across the minerals value chain.

Qualifications

• Experience creating bottoms-up economic models, preferably for the mining or commodities industry.
• Proven track record of successful people leadership.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High technical literacy with delivery toolsets (excel, SQL, python etc.).
• Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to work with many stakeholders and take product from idea to reality.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of analyst to create asset driven cost models for a variety of critical minerals covering both the upstream and midstream
• Provide subject matter expert input to refine the client user interface
• Work with other teams on product & data roadmaps
• Build an understanding of customer needs and work towards maintaining strong working relationships with customers
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other groups and stakeholders across the entire S&P Global business
