Job summary

HP's Applied AI organization is central to the company's enterprise AI transformation, building internal AI solutions, platforms, and training for employees. We seek a Strategy & Business Planning Lead who will partner with senior leaders to run the 120+ person organization with clarity, discipline, and speed.

The ideal candidate excels in executive communication, translating AI and infrastructure work into crisp business narratives, and maintaining budget, headcount, and governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business operations, strategy and planning, Chief of Staff roles, program/portfolio management, transformation or consulting.
• Exceptional executive communication for C-suite and senior leadership.
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy, including budgets and headcount planning.
• Ability to manage complex intake, competing priorities, and fast-moving deadlines.
• Collaboración and influencing skills across functions.
• Technical fluency to translate AI concepts into business narratives.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA/MS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality materials for C-suite and senior executives, including strategy updates, operating reviews, investment cases, and progress reports.
• Translate technical AI, platform, infrastructure, and product work into clear business narratives with measurable outcomes for HP.
• Create communication frameworks and recurring forums to clarify strategy, priorities, and impact.
• Design and manage the Applied AI operating cadence: leadership meetings, reviews, OKR checkpoints, and planning cycles.
• Drive annual and quarterly priority setting with clear goals, milestones, dependencies, and owners.
• Coordinate initiatives to improve team effectiveness and cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain budgets, headcount, vendor and investment trackers with finance and HR.
• Engage with Chiefs of Staff and strategy teams to align on enterprise initiatives.
• Lead high-priority strategic projects requiring executive visibility.
• Apply structured problem solving and analytical rigor to ambiguous challenges.
