Job summary

KB Home in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Land Acquisition Analyst to research, analyze, and manage land data, shaping acquisition opportunities aligned with market strategy.

You will prepare proformas, collaborate with development and finance teams, and extract data from MLS, Metrostudy, LandVision and Census sources to support pre- and post-acquisition decisions.

Excellent analytical, Excel, and communication skills are required, with 1–3 years in land acquisition or entitlement work in real estate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Real Estate.
• 1–3 years of land acquisition, transactional work, or entitlement/forward planning in real estate development preferred.
• Strong analytical and technical proficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite; mapping software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial proformas to evaluate proposed land acquisitions.
• Coordinate with development to set budgets and schedules for proformas.
• Collaborate across departments to assess construction costs and buyer preferences.
• Analyze due diligence information for potential investments.
• Extract and interpret data from MLS, Metrostudy, Census Bureau, LandVision and other sources.
• Prepare pre-acquisition investment briefs and supporting materials.
• Maintain proformas post-acquisition to track performance and identify enhancements.
• Develop detailed Land Packages for submission to Corporate Land Committee.
• Prepare follow-up analysis and transaction forms to facilitate funds transfers.
