Job summary

KB Home is seeking a Land Acquisition Analyst in Austin, TX to research, analyze, and manage land data, supporting our land acquisition strategy and asset optimization.

You will prepare proformas, coordinate with development, and work across teams to assess costs and buyer preferences. Proficiency with mapping tools and strong communication are valued.

This on-site role offers growth opportunities within a nationally recognized company and exposure to market strategy reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or real estate.
• 1-3 years in land acquisition or related real estate development work.
• Strong technical and analytical proficiency.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with mapping software (ArcGIS, Google Earth, LandVision) is a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial proformas to evaluate proposed land acquisitions.
• Coordinate with the development team to establish budgets and schedules for proformas.
• Collaborate across departments to assess home construction costs and buyer preferences.
• Analyze due diligence information for potential investments.
• Extract and interpret data from MLS, company databases, Metrostudy, LandVision, Census Bureau and other sources.
• Prepare pre-acquisition investment briefs and supporting materials.
• Maintain financial proformas post-acquisition to track community performance and identify enhancements.
• Develop detailed Land Packages with supporting data for submission to the Corporate Land Committee.
• Prepare follow-up analysis and transaction forms to facilitate funds transfers for acquisitions.
• Support the annual Market Strategy report and ad hoc projects as needed.
