Job summary

Homebound is seeking a Land Acquisition Analyst to support our land teams in Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston and Austin, TX. You will underwrite land and lot opportunities, build pro formas, and prepare IC submittals to guide where we build.

You’ll conduct market and competition analyses, track deal pipelines, and assist with due diligence and land agreements. A path to growth into a Land Acquisition Manager role is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, Urban Planning, or related field.
• 0–2 years of real estate or analytical experience; internships count.
• Strong Excel financial modeling fundamentals (cash flows, IRR).
• Ability to turn data into clear written summaries and exhibits.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication with senior leaders and partners.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within DFW and Houston.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite land and lot opportunities with pro formas and returns analyses.
• Prepare Investment Committee submittals with memos and site data.
• Conduct market analyses on submarkets, schools, and growth trends.
• Build competition analyses and summarize takeaways for deal teams.
• Screen and track deal pipeline and maintain status reports.
• Support due diligence with third‑party reports and deadlines.
• Assist with lot purchase agreements and term comparisons.
• Maintain market data, GIS maps, and price trackers.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Pre-construction on pricing and schedules.
• Visit sites and join meetings with brokers, developers, and municipalities.
