Job summary

MultiCare Health System seeks a Labor Relations Manager to lead labor relations activities across the system. You will build influential relationships with union partners, represented bargaining units, and organizational leaders to advance agreements and constructive labor relations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in labor and employee relations, and collective bargaining experience; JD or master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in labor and employee relations
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in collective bargaining
• Experience leading contract interpretation and implementation, grievance processing, and facilitation of communications with union organizations
• Working knowledge of laws and regulatory standards such as FLSA, FMLA, NLRA, EEOC, Workers' Compensation, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA
• Experience with employment-related investigations and grievance administration
• Effective internal and external consulting, facilitation, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and others on labor relations matters and preventive action
• Serve as chief negotiator representing MultiCare in collective bargaining negotiations
• Collaborate with leadership and external labor partners to achieve agreements and positive labor relations
• Manage administration of labor contracts and interpret contracts for managers and employees
