Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Labor Relations Manager to support labor relations activities across the system. As an independent indirect leader, you will build positive relationships with union partners, represented bargaining units, and internal stakeholders.

The role advises HR colleagues, serves as chief negotiator in collective bargaining, collaborates with leadership to reach agreements, and manages contract interpretation and grievance processes to maintain constructive labor

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional experience in labor and employee relations.
• Minimum two years’ experience collective bargaining; Chief Spokesperson experience strongly preferred.
• Experience including contract interpretation and grievance processing.
• Working knowledge of laws/regulations such as FLSA, FMLA, NLRA, EEOC, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA and ideally TJC.
• Experience with employment-related investigations and grievance administration.
• Effective internal/external consulting, facilitation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise HR colleagues and others on labor relations matters, helping to develop prevention and recommended action.
• Serve as chief negotiator representing MultiCare in collective bargaining negotiations.
• Collaborate with leadership and external labor partners to accomplish agreements and positive labor relations.
• Manage the administration of labor contracts; provide interpretation of labor contracts to managers, employees and HR colleagues.
