Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management in nonprofit or healthcare settings preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory procurement and supplier management is a plus.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with NGNRI’s operational needs.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor identification, sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, and contract administration.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers of laboratory equipment, reagents, consumables, and services.
• Support scientific teams in identifying appropriate vendors and sourcing specialized research materials.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical items to support ongoing research and operations.
• Monitor and control purchasing budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
• Collaborate with MSU, HFH, and other partners on shared procurement or vendor arrangements.
• Evaluate vendor performance and manage supplier risk.
• Support inventory planning and coordination where applicable.
• Provide reporting and analysis on procurement activities to leadership.
