Job summary

Calibre CPA Group is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Leader to spearhead the Firm's learning strategy and professional development initiatives in Bethesda, MD. The role oversees CPE administration and NASBA compliance, aligning programs with our strategic goals.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of public accounting experience, including audit and assurance, and a passion for developing professionals and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA license or related certifications preferred.
• 5-7 years of public accounting experience, including audit and assurance.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training within a public accounting environment.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Experience with curriculum development and classroom instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess firmwide training needs and align learning initiatives with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain the Firm's learning and development budget.
• Design, develop, and deliver engaging technical and professional development programs.
• Develop and maintain training materials, online learning modules, and instructional resources.
• Identify and manage external vendors for leadership and soft skills training.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
• Train and coach internal subject matter experts on effective instructional techniques.
• Collaborate with Firm leadership to develop and deliver training for Audit, Tax, Accounting & Financial Services, and Compliance professionals.
• Develop career paths and learning opportunities for professional staff.
• Oversee the Firm's Continuing Professional Education (CPE) program and maintain NASBA compliance.
