Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Buyer to support our IT Software. The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of various Software.

Primary responsibilities include negotiating favorable price and terms, administering purchase orders, creating solicitations, and performing price analyses. This role requires knowledge of procurement, supplier management, and federal regulations; experience with FAR and government contracts is preferred.

Qualifications

• BA degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong Customer Service mentality.
• Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
• Knowledge of government contracts preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate favorable price and terms for purchase orders under supervisor guidance.
• Administer purchase orders and maintain files.
• Create solicitations, perform price analysis, negotiate price and terms.
• Apply procurement knowledge: sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on policies and procedures.
• Review prime contract flow-downs for compliance and liability minimization.
• Support internal/external audit activities, including PO file reviews and data requests.
