Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Buyer to support our Huntsville, Alabama facility. The Senior Buyer will procure components, machines and equipment, negotiate favorable terms, and manage complex supplier relationships. Telework option will be considered.

Responsibilities include PO administration, cost analysis, prime contract flowdown, internal audits, and mentoring other buyers. Strong procurement knowledge and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BA degree and 8–12 years of experience or Masters with 6–10 years of experience.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel; strong written/oral communication.
• Familiarity with FAR and government contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and negotiates favorable prices on complex procurements; manage POs and contracts.
• Collaborates cross-functionally and ensures compliance with procurement policies.
• Reviews proposals and selects suppliers; conducts price/cost analysis and negotiations.
• Supports audits and mentoring of other Buyers; develops/ reviews flowdown documents.
