Job summary

The State of South Dakota is seeking a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to serve as the primary liaison between state agencies and the Bureau of Information and Technology (BIT). You will advocate for agency technology needs and help deliver effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include building collaborative relationships, translating business needs into technology projects, and supporting RFP/RFI processes.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in computer science, business, or communications.
• Five+ years of professional work experience preferred.
• Experience in state government or bureaucracies preferred.

• Build collaborative relationships with agencies and BIT teams.
• Maintain knowledge of agency structures, processes, and technology requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable technology projects and solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders clearly.
• Facilitate timely resolution of technology-related issues.
• Support RFP/RFI processes, technology acquisitions, and contract reviews.
• Lead and mentor teams to achieve customer satisfaction and agency goals.
