Job summary

State of South Dakota's Bureau of Information and Technology is seeking an Application/Business Project Manager for a statewide, full-time role. You will liaise with product owners, technical staff, and stakeholders to define scope and manage SDLC projects using both agile and waterfall methodologies.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of project management experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Visio, Power BI, and ServiceNow modules.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of project management experience with a track record of on-time delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft tools such as Visio and Power BI; ServiceNow experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through completion, managing scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with product owners, SMEs, and stakeholders to document scope and risks.
• Balance agile and waterfall methodologies and act as a buffer for the project team.
