Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading manufacturing and retail organization, seeks an IT Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects using hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on IT project management experience, strong knowledge of Agile practices, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT and/or business experience with hands-on management of Agile IT and software development projects.
• Experience in a leadership role such as Project Manager, Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, Team Lead, or Product Owner.
• Strong understanding of Agile practices, SDLC, sprint planning, user story mapping, acceptance criteria, and project management methodologies.
• Experience with project planning, risk and change management, resource allocation, workflow management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 7+ years of relevant Project Management or IT experience in lieu of a degree; Jira experience, hybrid Agile/Waterfall experience, and certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and deliver software development projects using hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies while managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and milestones.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, project estimation, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while promoting continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure deliverables meet established standards.
• Identify and resolve project risks, issues, resource constraints, and scope changes that could affect timelines, budgets, quality, or delivery.
• Track project performance using Jira, reporting tools, and project data; communicate progress and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders; and reinforce project management best practices.
