Job summary

The City of El Paso Texas is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and lead projects across divisions. You will develop proposals, budgets, scopes, and schedules, and analyze business needs with IT owners and decision-makers.

You will define success criteria, communicate expectations, manage budgets and risks, and report progress. Supervision, hiring decisions, and CJIS background requirements apply. This is an Unclassified Contract role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field with 4 years of PM experience.
• Alternate: Associate's degree with 8 years of PM experience in systems or services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage, and direct IT project development across lifecycle.
• Submit proposals, budgets, scopes, and schedules for IT projects.
• Analyze end-user needs, feasibility, and project authorization.
• Communicate expectations to sponsors, team, and stakeholders clearly.
• Adhere to project budgets and assist in risk mitigation.
• Document findings and maintain plans and procedures.
• Supervise personnel: schedule, instruct, guide, and evaluate.
• Interview applicants and recommend hiring and status changes.
• Prepare oral and written reports related to project implementation.
