Job summary

City of El Paso is seeking a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects through their lifecycle within the Information Technology Services Department. The role requires a strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure delivery of defined objectives and milestones.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) with 4 years of project management experience or an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience, plus CJIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience in project management of systems or services; or an Associate's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related field and eight (8) years of experience in project management of systems or services.

Responsibilities

• Under direction, plan, coordinate and manage one or more projects which may impact a division or department throughout the project's lifecycle and implementation.
• Manage project activities in the areas of project planning, coordination, communication, and execution.
• Lead project team to produce a work breakdown structure and assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project team members.
• Develop project plan in consultation with stakeholders and identify objectives and deliverables.
• Monitor the progress of work assignments and track budget expenditures to identify overruns and inefficiencies.
• Oversee development and documentation of strategic goals and supervise assigned personnel as required.
