Job summary

City of El Paso seeks an experienced Project Manager to plan, coordinate and manage IT projects across divisions. You will lead diverse teams through the project lifecycle, ensuring scope, schedule and budget alignment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or associate with 8 years) in Information Systems/Business Administration/Engineering or related field and strong stakeholder communication. CJIS background checks are required for IT Services positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience in project management of systems or services.
• An Associate's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering or related field and eight (8) years of experience in project management of systems or services.
• CJIS background check required for positions assigned to the Department of Information Technology Services; must pass within six months from hire and maintain CJIS eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage one or more projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project activities in planning, coordination, communication and execution.
• Lead interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors and subcontractors.
• Develop project plans with stakeholders and define objectives and deliverables.
• Monitor budgets, track expenditures and manage changes to schedules and resources.
• Communicate with stakeholders and provide status reports; supervise assigned personnel.
