Job summary

San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of related projects aligning with enterprise objectives. You will collaborate with IT and enterprise leadership to approve, prioritize, and execute the program roadmap, building project teams and guiding cross-functional stakeholders through all lifecycle stages.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least six years of hands-on project management experience, with PMP/ITIL preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology Engineering, or related is required.
• Minimum six (6) years of hands-on experience in key Project Management activities, with a demonstrated track record of delivery.
• Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development, approval, prioritization, and execution of the program roadmap and manages dependencies.
• Interfaces with sponsors and stakeholders to document and approve formal business requirements and project scope.
• Maintains stakeholder relationships and creates program dashboards for leadership communication.
• Plans schedules and milestones, monitors prioritization, and manages program constraints.
• Forms and guides cross-functional project teams through all lifecycle stages (Discovery to Closeout).
• Provides direction and mentorship to junior project managers and others on program initiatives.
• Establishes budgets and tracks project expenses through funding approvals and payments.
• Executes PMO methodology, performs risk assessments, and manages risks across projects.
• Manages variances to schedule, scope, and budget via change control processes.
• Coordinates with business, Procurement, and vendors on requirements, SOWs, and contract finalization.
• Defines success criteria and conducts postmortems to report learnings and recommendations.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support department operations.
