Job summary

Brinker International in Coppell, TX is seeking a hands-on Category Manager to lead sourcing and commercial work across indirect technology, software, and professional services, with a focus on software and SaaS and a hybrid schedule (three days in office).

You will define requirements, evaluate suppliers, develop sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and carry projects through implementation, partnering with Legal, Risk, and Information Security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of indirect procurement experience.
• At least 2 years of software procurement, incl. sourcing and negotiating software/SaaS.
• Experience sourcing additional indirect categories such as professional services, HR and other services.
• Ownership of supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and sourcing events.
• Experience reviewing or redlining commercial contract terms with Legal.

Responsibilities

• Own category planning and sourcing across software, technology, professional services, and other indirect categories.
• Lead negotiations from initial need to contract execution and handoff.
• Build negotiation strategies using market data, supplier proposals, total cost of ownership, and benchmarks.
• Negotiate software pricing and licensing models, renewal terms, and service levels.
• Source professional services and define statements of work, rate cards, and staffing models.
• Review and redline terms in master agreements with Legal, Risk, and Information Security.
• Build relationships with Technology, Finance, Legal, and other partners; translate needs into sourcing decisions.
• Challenge specifications and supplier proposals to improve cost, service, speed, or risk.
• Maintain an active sourcing pipeline and carry negotiated terms through onboarding.
