Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Sourcing Advisor - Software to lead its software sourcing efforts and drive strategic category planning. You will work with IT, legal, and finance to secure favorable terms, mitigate supplier risk, and deliver cost savings.

The role requires 7+ years of IT/software sourcing experience, strong negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of software procurement across On-Prem, SaaS, and Cloud models. Remote options are not specified.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
At least 7 years of IT/technology sourcing experience for Software (On-Prem, SaaS, Cloud).
Experience negotiating and redlining software contracts.
Ability to leverage internal and external data sources to create software category plans.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the software sourcing team to develop annual and long-term category strategies.
Achieve cost savings targets.
Lead RFx and commercial contract negotiations with software suppliers.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including IT, legal, finance, and others.
Mitigate supplier risks through contracting and supplier negotiation and management.
Communicate project status, process compliance, and policies to business leaders.
Serve as a business partner to key IT stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes and track KPIs.
Lead multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
Understand global cybersecurity and data privacy regulations related to software procurement.
