Job summary

Carvana seeks a Senior Buyer, Procurement to lead IT procurement and drive end-to-end purchasing processes in a fast-paced environment. You’ll manage RFQs, POs, and supplier performance while partnering with Technology Services and Legal to optimize contracts and value.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in procurement or accounting, strong SQL/Snowflake data skills, and a track record of delivering cost-efficient results. Tempe-based, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or relevant field; 5+ years of experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Procurement or Accounting.
• Experience with Coupa or other ERP/dedicated e-procurement platforms.
• Demonstrated accuracy, responsiveness and strong quantitative aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Procurement process; interface with Technology Services leadership on renewals and SRM.
• Negotiate favorable contract renewals and net-new contracts with Legal.
• Collect, compile and analyze data; provide reports using SQL and Snowflake.
• Own the entire PO procurement process including POs, expediting and payment confirmations.
• Communicate PO status to requesters and other stakeholders as needed.
• Handle ad-hoc requests outside the procurement system for other business areas.
• Maintain procurement budgets; ensure fiscal responsibility and cost efficiency.
• Follow up on invoice discrepancies as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
