Job summary

Warren County is seeking an experienced IT Director to own the county's IT environment and collaborate with Finance and Administration to set priorities and strategic direction. The role leads day-to-day operations, security, and long-term planning for the county's IT systems, servers, and desktops, ensuring reliable services for 165 employees across 25 servers and 220 desktops and laptops.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/IS or related field, or equivalent (10–15 years) IT experience.
Experience managing and supporting an organization's IT environment.
Experience with network and server administration, endpoint management, cybersecurity, backups, and user administration.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based environments and Microsoft 365.
Experience with networking, firewalls, VPNs, IAM, and cybersecurity practices.
Ability to diagnose problems independently and develop practical solutions.
Experience managing IT vendors, projects, budgets, and technology implementations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
