The role emphasizes translating complex IT topics into clear messages, developing governance materials, and guiding communications strategy. Strong editing and Office 365 skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field.
• Advanced level typically requires 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 executive and user communications support for major IT incidents, drafting updates and distributing messages in various media.
• Develop executive presentations for Systemwide governance groups and CIS executive meetings.
• Help develop communication strategies to improve effectiveness, clarity and impact across communications types.
• Provide consultation to stakeholders and leadership to implement effective communication strategies.
• Translate complex technical topics into simple, clear messages.
• Write, proofread, update and approve communications to service partners and users.
• Support communications tools, maintain user access, and train key stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to content and brand standards and promote consistent messaging.
• Prepare and deliver recommendations and presentations for management and executives.
• Monitor media trends to enhance internal communications.
• Shoot, edit and produce videos to enhance messaging and training.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
