Job summary

Charles IT in Providence, RI seeks a knowledgeable Technical Client Advisor to serve as a trusted partner, connecting clients' business goals with technology strategy while guiding on technical challenges, escalations, and long-term IT planning.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly with C-suite leaders, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and delivers thoughtful roadmaps, security, and performance improvements, backed by strong organization and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT consulting, account management, or technical leadership in MSP environments.
• Experience with strategic IT planning, technology budgeting, and executive engagement.
• Strong business acumen translating objectives into technology strategies.
• Preferred certifications: MCSA, VCP, CCNA.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Microsoft 365, and macOS support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technology advisor aligning client IT strategies with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Communicate technology recommendations, risks, and strategic initiatives to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Assess client environments to identify opportunities for improved security, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain IT roadmaps, lead strategic business reviews, oversee technology budgets, and support compliance initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic guidance, issue resolution, and escalations.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to identify client needs, define project scope, and prioritize technology initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to internal team members while promoting collaboration across departments.
• Ensure client technology strategies align with industry best practices, security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and successfully pass a background check.
