Job summary

National Life Group is seeking a Director, Investment Data & Analytics to oversee the investment data ecosystem end-to-end, from input to reporting. You will drive governance, data quality, and collaboration with IT to enable accurate investment analytics and executive reporting.

The role requires 7–10+ years in investment data or accounting, strong SQL, and experience with data warehouses and industry platforms. Onsite presence is expected four days weekly in Montpelier, VT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in investment data management, investment operations, or investment accounting.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehouse environments and ETL processes.
• Experience with institutional investment accounting or data platforms (e.g., Clearwater, Eagle/BNY, PAM, CAMRA, Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM).

Responsibilities

• Own and steward the investment data warehouse end-to-end, including governance, lineage, and reporting outputs.
• Define requirements, prioritise enhancements, and represent business needs in architecture decisions.
• Partner with IT on vendor feeds, pricing, ratings, ETL, and automation of data processes.
• Lead data workstreams for system implementations, conversions, and modernization initiatives.
• Provide analysis-ready data for investment committee dashboards, boards, and risk reporting.
